We are excited to announce the launch of the official CUCC 2026 website — your central hub for news, updates, and everything related to the Canadian University Chess Championship in 2026.
The Canadian University Chess Championship (CUCC) is the National Championships for University students, bringing together the best student players from across the country. Hosted in 2026, over 200+ students will travel to Toronto for Championship weekend from January 16 - 18, 2025. Split into two sections, teams of 4 will compete for national glory to decide who will take home the Queen’s Cup for Chess. The event will feature top-level competition, live commentary, side events, and plenty of opportunities for students and chess enthusiasts to connect.
The site will make it easier than ever to:
1. Stay informed about schedules, pairings, and results
2. Follow live games and event coverage
3. Learn how to register, volunteer, or get involved
4. Read updates and stories from the organizers and community
Our goal is to create a space that is accessible, reliable, and community-driven. Whether you’re a player, volunteer, or chess enthusiast, the CUCC 2026 website will keep you connected every step of the way. Bookmark the page and stay tuned for more to come in the weeks ahead.
